Jean Marie Thomas, 60 died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter in Wilmington.
She was born November 21, 1947 in Dalton, PA to Edward and Eloise Thomas and was a resident of Scranton most of her life. Jean attended Lackawanna Trail High School where she was on the flag team. She was most recently employed at Fleet and Bank of America in Moosic.
Jean was a loving mother and grandmother with a magnificent sense of humor. She loved to make crafts and particularly crochet. Jean loved reading, the beach, enjoyed cooking for everyone and dragging her family to museums, historical sights and battlegrounds.
She is survived by her mother Eloise Thomas of Leland, NC, son Gerard Brier and wife Wendy of Blossvale, NY, daughter Jennifer Brier of Hampstead, NC, brothers Edward Thomas of Middleboro, MA and James Thomas of Leland, NC, grandchildren Melissa Rodriquez, Nathan King, Brittany King and Kai Knight.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Unity Christ Church of Wilmington.
