Memorial Gifts & Donations

Jean Rose (Biasi) Ashby, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on June 19th, 2023 in Wilmington, North Carolina at the age of 80, less than one month shy of her 81st birthday. She was born on July 14th, 1942, in Netcong, New Jersey.

Jean was known for her sharp wit, her spirited personality, and her love of sweets. However, above all else, she cherished being a caregiver to her girls, who were the light of her life.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Michael D. Ashby; her parents, Vito and Lucy Biasi; and a sister, Mary Stark.

She is survived by her daughter, Noelani Daly; sister, Antoinette Smith; brother, Peter Biasi; two granddaughters, Keani Wortham and Jordan Lafountain; and one great-granddaughter, Kaili Jean.

In accordance with Jean’s wishes, there will be no traditional funeral or memorial service. Instead, her family will celebrate her life with a private gathering over drinks and a meal, reflecting on the memories and love that Jean brought into their lives.

Jean will forever be remembered as a loving and dedicated mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. May her spirit live on through the love and memories of those who knew her best.

    Christopher Carlile says:
Dear Lani and family, Diane and I had just called Jean and left a message several days ago unaware that she was ill or had passed. We had only met your mother once when we came down for your Dad's funeral but enjoyed the time we spent with your family and remained in touch through phone calls since that time. Of course I had talked with her many times when I called your Dad over the past thirty or forty years. Please accept our deepest sympathy in your loss and know that we feel your pain. Most sincerely, Chris and Diane Carlile Pottstown, PA.
