Some of my most treasured memories include Mrs. Jean. Our families spent many vacations together as well as just everyday occasions. She always had a flair for fashion and nobody knew shoes like she knew shoes. I feel very lucky to have been brought up in small town Kinston and to have had a second family like the West Family. I am sad that my present health issues won't allow me to travel to the memorial service. My love, support and prayers are with you always.

    Cindy Boyd says:
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a memory of Aunt Jean fitting Jacob (now 23) for his first pair of shoes. She wanted to make sure that he had a proper pair of walking shoes so we went to the shoe store where she worked in Rural Hall, NC. She fitted him and gave us his first real shoes as a gift. I will always treasure that memory. I'm praying for comfort and peace for you all.
