Jeanine Jeffords Starling Ferrell, 66 of Wilmington passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 27, 1945.
Jeanine grew up in Wilmington and attended Tileston School and graduated from New Hanover High School. She retired from Bell South after 34 years of service in 2000, where she made many life long friends.
She is survived by three children of which she was very proud, Michelle Starling Marks (Michael), Tammy Starling Van Duyn (Gerret), Arthur Jackson Starling, III (Michele);four grandchildren, Steven Simpers, Nicholas Marks, Hannah and Sarah Van Duyn, who affectionately referred to her as “BaMa”; aunt, Imogene Biggs; sister, Maureen Tilton, several nieces and nephews including Kristy Fredendall.
Graveside funeral services will be held 3 pm Friday, June 8, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Gordon Wright.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, 6904 Persimmon Place, Wilmington Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
