Jennie Inez Madden, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024, in Rocky Point, North Carolina. She was born on July 17, 1936, in Currie, North Carolina, and lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family.

Jennie’s love for her family knew no bounds. She dedicated her life to being a caring and supportive mother to her children, Billy and his wife Pam, Gary and Betty Lou, Ronald, Laura and husband Jason, and Orville; two sisters, Edna Spencer and Ethel Mattison. Her selflessness and unwavering love were a constant source of inspiration for all who knew her. Jennie’s kindness and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her children.

In addition to her role as a nurturing mother, Jennie was also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren: Billy, Jennie, Becky, and Hope. She cherished every moment spent with them, providing guidance, love, and support as they grew. Jennie’s joy knew no bounds when she became a great-grandmother, adding another precious soul to her loving family.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Casto and Rosa Mae Bradshaw, as well as her beloved husband of 62 years, William Ernest Madden Sr. Theirs was a love story that inspired those around them, and their legacy of love lives on through their children and grandchildren.

In accordance with Jennie’s wishes, there will be no formal services held to commemorate her life. However, friends and family may share their condolences and memories online at www.wilmingtoncares.com.
