Jennifer Miller Benton born in Johnson City, Tennessee on January 9, 1959 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny J. Miller and Hattie Britt Miller, a sister Sindi Miller Collins and brother in-law Larry Gale Benton.
Jenny is survived by her husband of 30 years Harry Dale Benton whom she deeply loved. One son, Christopher “Chris” George Benton and his wife Kristen whom Jenny just adored, she would say, “I ‘m so proud of Chris”. One daughter Sierra Benton; four grandchildren, Chandler Davis, Hannah Grace Davis, Lilly Parker, and Boston Benton. Sister, Vicki Miller Watson (husband David), two brothers, Johnny J. Miller and Steve Hinkle and step-mother Mary Miller and several nieces and nephews, whom she was very close to. Jenny loved animals and she adored her 3 dogs, Smoke, Lisa, and Princess.
Jenny was a beloved wife, mother, and loved and adored her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and took every opportunity to witness to people about her Lord and Savior. Her faith meant everything to her. She loved her family and friends but she would say, “As much as I love you, I love God more, he is first and foremost in my life”. She attended Shiloh United Methodist Church and loved her church family. She was a member of Reaching Heart Ministries and enjoyed the fellowship they had. The main goal in her life was for her family and friends to come to know and love the Lord as much as she did. She would say “I want to see you in heaven”.
Jenny was a very talented lady, she made beautifully decorated cakes and she should have been an interior designer. She was a beautiful person inside and out. We all will love her and miss her.
A special thanks to her niece Deidre Watson who loved and took care of her during her illness.
