I live in the Villas at Jumping Brook in Neptune, NJ and met your lovely mother 15 yrs ago when my husband and I moved here. There were 2 women named Joan in the development and I was having a very difficult time trying to learn every ones name in the beginning. I sat with her at an early women's club function and she simply said, "just call me tall Joan ( the other Joan was about 5 ft. 4 ins). Well as long as she lived here, I looked up to her ( I'm 5 ft 2 in. at best !!!) and thoroughly enjoyed sitting with her at any event. Her stories were fun to listen to and she was just the nicest person...one of my first memories in the development . I am sorry to hear that she has passed. I only hope that she lived her final years in peace and joy. I will always remember "tall Joan".
