JoAnn S. Clark


JoAnn Stanley Clark, 71, of Wilmington, died peacefully in her home, on November 29, 2014, after an extended battle with cancer, .

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Earl Stanley, Sr. and Lucy Carroll Stanley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James Donaldson Clark and her youngest daughter, Donna Ann Spooner.

Surviving family members are daughter Cyndie Allgauer (Andrew) and granddaughters Kotomi and Chieko of Lithia FL. Son-in-law Brian Spooner and grandson Clark Spooner of Wilmington and granddaughter Candace Pearce (Al) of Canton, NC; brother Joseph E Stanley Jr, niece Ginger Ebert, nephew Earl Stanley, mother-in-law Margaret Clark, sister-in-law Virginia C Smith, nephews Bob and Kent Smith, and her friend and caretaker, Wendy Benson.

JoAnn was a cheerful homemaker who doted on her family and friends, and her pet dog, Marley. She loved to travel, and spent many years “RV-ing” with her husband, Don.

She attended Wrightsboro United Methodist Church. A Memorial service will be held there on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 1:00PM.
