Joanne Marie (Johnson) Stephens

Joanne Marie (Johnson) Stephens, 65, of Leland, passed away on July 5, 2023 at Brunswick Medical Center.   She was the loving wife of Henry Edgar Stephens.

Joanne was born born April 15, 1958 to the late Robert Zachary Johnson Jr. and Gladys Rae Johnson.   She is survived by her husband; her sons, Christopher Scott Carpenter, Benjamin Owen Stephens; her stepsons Eric Stephens and Matthew Stephens; her  siblings Ann Louis Mason (Edward), Robert Brantley Johnson (Becky), and Nancy Johnson Teague; and countless nieces and nephews.

Joanne graduated from Hoggard High School, and earned an Associate’s Degree from Cape Fear Community College. She loved bowling, and arts and crafts. She worked as a seamstress in a dress shop for several years, specializing in pageant dresses before she retired.

Funeral Services are private,  and are entrusted to Wilmington Funeral and Cremation.
