Joanne Marie Teel, 42, of Wilmington passed away Wednesday September 3, 2008 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Surviving are her mother Florence Ann Drzewicki Teel of wilmington; Partner in life Wandneito Ward of Wilmington; son; Raymond Bland of Clinton; daughters Rolane Silva and Christine Teel of Wilmington step-children Christian Ward and Tiffany Ward of Wilmington Tamatha Ranee Branch of Hampstead, brother Roger Teel of SC, Three grandchildren Joshua Thomas; Briannia Silva; Amaya Silva of Wilmington Aunts Nancy Melto; Benjamin Melton ; Lori Emmons and husband Tony Woods of Leland.

A memorial service will be conduced 6:00 P.M Sunday September 7, 2008 at Bowens Chapel Holiness Church at 2nd and Mears Street Wilmington.

The family will see friends after the service.

    Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Joanne. She was a very special woman and she will be deeply missed. We know that someone with the love that Joanne had will be hard to move on without her but she wouldn't have wanted for us to be unhappy. So smile knowing that she is in a better place... and she is making all of the Angels laugh with her crazy sense of humor and her love of life.

    I miss Joanne when the phone rings.. I miss her when i recieve a text message.. I miss Joanne's smile and her laugh... But most of all I miss her heart and love. Joanne was very special to me even though we weren't together all of the time. She will always be in my heart. My condolences go out to her life partner Wandneito. May she find the strength to go on. That is what Joanne would have wanted for her. She wouldn't want to see Wandneito upset or stopping her daily activities. Wandneito- Be Strong.. Joanne will send you someone. She is always with you..
