Jocelyn Moore Boyd, 88 of Delco passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013.

She was born in Columbus County, NC on August 31, 1924. Her parents were the late W. Judson Moore and Mona Johnson Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Boyd, two brothers, Carl and Judson Moore, and two sisters, Edith Sneeden and Elizabeth Moore.

Jocelyn was an active and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Delco. She was a graduate of East Carolina Teachers College, and was retired from the Columbus County School System as a second grade teacher at Acme Delco Elementary School.

She is survived by her children, Larry Boyd (Lou), Ronald Boyd (Beverly), and Janice Caulder (Bryan); six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Nell M. Hill.

To honor her request, a private memorial service will be held later.

I loved when I would walk across the street and sit with her and have long conversations or call her on the phone. She always made you feel welcomed. I loved and respected her alot and will miss her so much but I know that she is with her husband now and at peace...
