Jodiann Hinson, 34, of Wilmington, NC went to be with Jesus on October 11, 2022. She was born in Fayetteville, NC on January 10, 1988.
Jodiann/Jodi/JoJo was a ray of sunshine with her gorgeous blue eyes that sparkled with her pretty smile. She was our family’s first-born bundle of joy, she was a wonderful loving soul, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and beautiful Mama. She graduated from Cape Fear Community College in Culinary Arts and amazed everyone with her incredible yummy dinners. Jodiann loved watching movies and singing with her two sweet babies. She loved their giggles, snuggles, hugs and kisses, amazing ideas, questions, creations and thoughts. Her most memorable time was when she took her babies to Disney World. Her heart and soul were her children. She found peace in spending her last moments with them. Star and Eric, you both are more precious than the stars above! Wonderful blessings! The finest jewels on earth! And the Greatest Loved Treasures your Mama will always hold dear in her heart and soul!
She is preceded in death by her loving Mama, Angela R. Hinson and Grandpa, Douglas Garrett.
Jodiann is survived by her dad, Michael R. Hinson; her brother, Timothy Hinson; her children, Star Hinson (dad – Salvador Carmona and parents) and Eric Hinson (dad – Jason Paternotte and parents); her grandmother, Doris Garrett (Fiancé – Robert Padgett); her Grandparents, Billy and Faye Hinson; her aunt, Karen Roggina (Ricky); her uncle, Douglas Garrett Jr.; her cousins; Zachary Roggina, Cody and Kiya Garrett.
Her brother; Tim, was her truest and best friend with the sweetest heart of gold with love and affection as deep as the oceans. He understood her joys and pains. JoJo was extremely grateful for him for always being there for her no matter what she said, did, or thought and forgiving her; as well as, being there for her two remarkable babies. Tim was her special Hero in a lot of ways!
Jodi was very grateful to her Grandma Doris for her unconditional love, wisdom, spoiling her endlessly and for being the best Great Grandma to her babies and the most awesome Grandma to her!
Jodi was also very thankful for her Aunt Karen for all the hugs and kisses that she gave to her that she missed from her loving Mama and for loving her like she was her own daughter. Jodi loved all the beautiful things her Uncle Ricky made her and her babies and enjoyed all the wonderful talks she had with Zachary. Her Uncle Wayne was like a big brother to her and Tim; in which she was thankful for all the good advice he gave them.
Jodiann was extremely grateful for Sal and Jason for the wonderful memories she shared with each one of them and for giving her the sweetest miracles of her life and the peace of knowing that her children will be well cared for and for their parents for being loving Grandparents to her babies.
Jodiann’s family would like to give their deepest gratitude to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare for their amazing awesome care, love, compassion and support that they gave to our beautiful Jodiann and to us.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date
