Joe Canady, 63, of Ogden died Tuesday May 20, 2008 at his home.

Born in Cumberland County November 20, 1944 the son of the late William Levitte Canady and Mildred Watson Canady. Joe attended the Church of God of Prophecy, and a pipe fitter by trade.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years Teresa; sons Joey Canady of Hampstead; Brian Canady and wife Lisa Canady of Wilmington; Gary Canady of Wilmington. Brothers Earl Canady of Quinlan, TX; Fred Canady and Richard Canady both of Wilmington and Terry Canady of Lumberbridge, NC. Sisters Ann Davis; Carolyn White; Kathryn Wilson; Linda Davis all of Gray’s Creek, NC. Grandchildren Lilly; Daisy; Summer; and Alex.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M Thursday May 22, 2008 at Church of God of Prophecy on south college road. The Pastor Lawrence Brewer will officiate.

Memorials may be directed to the Church of God of Prophecy.

The family gives special thanks to Judy Canady for the help and love she has given during Joe’s illness.
