Joel Douglas Faulk, 53 of Castle Hayne passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at his home.

Joel was born May 23, 1964, in Wilmington to Ruby J. Faulk Wolf (Jerry) of Boiling Spring Lakes, and the late Jack Douglas Faulk. Joel attended the Apostolic Church of Wilmington. Survivors include sons Jack and Christopher Faulk of Holden Beach, two sisters, Susan Hartman (Ben) of Boiling Spring Lakes and Vanessa Cribb (Jimmy) of Wilmington, a best friend Kim Walker of Wilmington, and a host of family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Wilmington Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 3 pm. Testimonials to Joel’s life will be offered by Keith Collins and open to the gatherers.

Joel was a loving and caring man who loved cats, espcially “Mickey Mouse” cat. In lieu of flowers, please make any contributions to your favorite animal shelter.

    So sorry to hear of Joel's passing... just found out. We grew up together, took different paths in life and only reconnected in the last couple of years. It saddens me that he is now gone and leaves so many family members and lifetime friends behind.
