    DAN HARDEE says:
I met John for the first time in 1974. Nita wanted me to meet her Mom and John. They were at Wrightsville Beach that day. It was a hot end of July day. We drove down to the south end where just before you make that sharp lefthand turn I saw a boat setting half way in Banks Channel. The tide was falling, John was fishing off the back Vi was in the middle and a dog ( Bo Bo I think) was diving in the water after sea shells that Vi was throwing in.Vi was wearing a beer can hat and John just kept fishing. That was a good day !!! I will miss him, and I will continue to pray for Vi and all of the family.

    Harry & Judy Odham says:
I will miss my brother, and his chidren and grandchildren are in my prayers. I remember when I was about seven or eight years old,I could really make him mad. I had really small arms, and he would squeeze them with two fingers and make me squeal. I learned to get away from him when I made him mad. When we got older,he told once that he didn't think he wanted to try and squeeze my arms anymore.I will miss our talks.
