John Curtis Messner, age 69, of Wilmington, passed away on May 22, 2019, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

He was born in Washington, DC on January 20, 1950, the son of John Curtis Messner and Peggy Joyce Fimmers Messner.

John served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army.

A Memorial Service is to be held in Pennsylvania under the direction of the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, 618 Martin St., Bellwood, PA 16617. 814-742-7203.
