    Joy Barrow Davis says:
Garry was my roommate while I was in college. It was a platonic relationship, and he showed a special interest in my life, wanting only the best for me. What I loved most about Garry was his zeal for life. He loved people and he valued people. He also loved prime rib! He and I shared that love, but disagreed on how best to cook it. Though I never met his other children, he seems to have passed on his zeal for life to dughter, Barbara. He always expressed how proud he was of her and her ability to overcome any difficulty she ever faced. He also spoke very lovingly about all of this children. I think Garry leaves behind a wonderful legacy of great family and friends and, yes, that zeal for life. I think when Garry met Betty, she really was the last piece of the puzzle for him, and though I did not see them a lot, each time I did it was evident that they were living life very happily together. Garry, thank you for adding to my life, at a time when I truly needed a good friend. Love you always..
