Following a long battle with Parkinson’s, John L. Scull passed away on April 14, 2023 under hospice care, at the age of 77, his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his father, Stanley, his mother, Margaret (nee Hite), and his brothers, William and Norman. He leaves behind his wife, Kathy (nee Osbahr), and his daughters, Amanda and Marissa.
John was born in Teaneck, N.J. On September 17, 1945. At an early age he became interested in construction and carpentry. He attended a special school to study his trade, Bergen County Technical High School. After graduation, he started his long career in carpentry and worked his way up to a Construction Super Intendent. During his long career in construction, he built many well-known sites in and around N.J. He was also a long standing member of the Eastern Atlantic Carpenters Union, for over 30 years.
In his off time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and he was deeply loved by all who knew him. He will be remembered as a hardworking, loving father, and husband who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
A private memorial of family & friends will be held for John, in the near future.
