Mr. Johnnie T. Swinson, Jr. of Wilmington, NC was born on October 15, 1961 and passed away on January 25, 2023, at his Mother’s residence, completing his journey of 61 years.

Johnnie was a loving father, son, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who got a chance to meet him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother Nancy Swinson; of Rocky Point, one son Johnnie Swinson III, of Wilmington, two daughters; Brandie Swinson of Wilmington, Kasey Swinson, of Georgia, one brother; Steven Swinson of Rocky Point, four grandchildren: Isiah, Jaedyn, Ayden, Adalyn, along with a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Johnnie T. Swinson, Sr., and one brother; Jeffrey Swinson.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Brookfield Church 131 Elliot Dr, Wilmington, NC 28405 at 3:00PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I can see him up there in heaven with Mr. Swinson and Jeff, all sitting around the table having some laughs and looking down over all of you. Johnnie was such a sweet and caring man and he loved his mama. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. As difficult as this has been, I hope you can find peace knowing he is in a better place.
