Joseph “Turtle” Borjas, born on August 31, 1998, in Oregon, Ohio, and passed on January 17, 2024, in Leland, North Carolina. He was 25 years old at the time of his passing.
Joseph’s dedicated work experience as a Sales Associate at Lowes Home Improvement store in Leland, NC, allowed him to bring his friendly and helpful nature to countless customers. He took pride in his role and always went above and beyond to provide excellent service.
Joseph’s true calling came when he served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of discipline, honor, and courage that shaped him into the remarkable person he became.
Joseph will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gerald Bruton, and paternal grandfather, Jose Borjas.
Joseph’s memory lives on through his parents, Anthony Joseph Borjas and Candice Brewington Borjas, his sisters, Jasmine Borjas and Fiance,Gabe, and Kayla Borjas, his maternal grandmother, Karen Patrick, and paternal grandmother, Wendy Borjas.
Joseph also leaves behind his beloved niece Elena Arcadio and nephew Ivan Arcadio, who held a special place in his heart. Let us not forget his faithful companion, his Labrador puppy, “Artemis,” who provided him with unwavering companionship and unconditional love.
As we mourn the loss of Joseph, we are reminded of the impact he had on our lives. His warm smile, caring nature, and dedication to helping others will forever be etched in our hearts.
Services to honor and remember Joseph are planned for Saturday, January 27 ,2024 a the Pentecostals of Wilmington, giving family and friends the opportunity to gather together and celebrate his life. Visiting hour will start at 1 pm and the services will begin at 2pm. In this time of sorrow, let us also find solace in the memories we shared with Joseph and the inspiration he brought to our lives.
