Joseph “Mickey” Desfonds
Joseph “Mickey” Desfonds of Winnabow, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at his residence.
He was born in Boston, MA, on May 1, 1956, the son of the late Joseph and Virginia (Garner) Desfonds and was preceded in death by his wife, Diane (Bailey) Desfonds.
Surviving are a son, Timothy Michael Desfonds, two sisters, Mary Edwards and husband Robert of Winnabow, NC, Denise Powers of Leland, NC, four brothers, David I. Desfonds and wife Mandy of Grissettown, NC, Joseph R. Desfonds Jr. and wife Ginger of Supply, NC, John S. Desfonds and wife Joanne of Goldsboro, NC, and Benjaman P. Desfonds of Winnabow, NC, a step-mother, Janice Ward of Winnabow, NC, four nieces, ten nephews, three grandnephews, and one grandniece.
Memorial services will be held 2pm Monday, September 6, 2010, at Living Word Full Gospel Fellowship Church, 152 S Navassa Rd, Leland, with Pastor Bobby Wilson officiating.
