Joseph Edward Kirkum, age 92 of Wilmington passed away Friday, December 6, 2013.
He was born in Wilmington on August 30, 1921. His parents were the late Joseph Edward Kirkum and Naomi Odom Kirkum.
Edward was a member of Long Leaf Baptist Church, and was retired from New Hanover Regional Medical Center maintenance department.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Smith Kirkum; two sons, Keith Kirkum, and Charlie Kirkum; along with other extended family.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Long Leaf Baptist Church, Shipyard Blvd. Wimington. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
