JOSEPH H. PATTISON M.D.
Joseph H. Pattison, M.D., 90, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
Dr. Pattison was born in Indianapolis on July 13, 1927, a son of the late Edgar and Ione Wilson Pattison. He graduated from Purdue University in 1948. In 1959, Dr. Pattison graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. While in medical school he married Carolyn Louise Cousar in 1959. He was a practicing psychiatrist until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Kozlowski and her husband Dennis of Maryland, Margaret McInnes and her husband Neil of Georgia, and Sarah Stout and her husband Bradshaw of Florida; his sons, Daniel Pattison and his wife Candi of Michigan, and Timothy Pattison and his wife Anamarie of Wilmington; his daughter-in-law Susan Pattison of Maryland; his grandchildren, James, Rebekah, Rachel, Missy, John, Janet, Joanna, Ginny, Joe, Monika, Lukas, Deimantas, Nathanael, Noah, Zoe, Isaac, Judah, Priscilla, Andrew, Calvin, Isabella, Estelle, and Esther; and his great grandchildren, Jameson and Reagan. He was predeceased by his wife, his son, Joseph Pattison, and brother, Edgar Pattison.
His family will receive relatives and friends in the Wilmington Funeral Chapel Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church 1380 N College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28405.
