Memorial Gifts & Donations

Joseph ‘Jack’ Eagan, 78, passed peacefully in his home with family on June 15, 2018. Born July 4, 1939, he is survived by his loving wife Marion Eagan, daughters Katie Eagan and Kristen Berkebile, son-in-law Seth Berkebile, grandson Griffin Berkebile, brother Robert ‘Bob’ Eagan, brother-in-law and sister-in law Mike and MaryBeth Wojciechowski, and his nieces and nephews. Jack grew up a natural athlete and harbored a love for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles throughout his life. Jack retired from the New Jersey State Police with the rank of lieutenant, where he served with honor, duty and fidelity for over 29 years. After retirement, Jack spent time at home raising his daughters and enjoying long walks with the family dogs. Jack and his family enjoyed spending summers boating on Lake George, NY and visiting Saratoga, NY. He loved visiting beaches near his home in Wilmington, NC. Those who knew and loved Jack will remember him for his sense of humor, compassion for those in need, and his love for animals.

Celebration of life services will be planned for July in Trenton, NJ. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Jack’s honor to the National Alzheimer’s Association or to a local charitable animal rescue group.
