I had the pleasure to visit josephine at 6:00p.m. the day before she passed. she was ready then to go be with her Lord. I told her, that soon she would have perfect eyesight and she would be able to see all the brilliance of heaven.she smiled and shook her head. she will leave her legacy behind at wal-mart as a great and friendly door greeter.

    LINDA RICE says:
Josephine was a very sweet lady. I visited the Walmart store many times and she made a point of telling everyone, "Glad to have you with us" and would tell me and other ladies leaving the store "be sure to get your keys out before you leave the store". To this day, I do just that. She will be remembered in so many ways. My heart goes out to her family.

I have known Jo for many years as she worked alongside my mom as a door greeter at Walmart. Yes, I fondly recall the reminders to "Get your keys out, honey! Get your keys out!" as well as the candy she would pass to me like a treasured gift! We will miss you, Jo, may you be at peace now. Our condolences to the family. Beth and Ruth

    Jay Taylor says:
I have missed seeing Ms Josephine at the door at Wal Mart! She was a good friend of an aunt of mine and was always ready to give out candy to her "doll babies." I will never forget taking her to get her eye surgery done at Duke. We actually had a great time together even though she was having surgery! I will miss her!
