Josephine Dean Ottaway 85, of Wilmington went peacefully to meet her Lord on Sunday January 22, 2012 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center.

Jo was born  in Harnett County February 13, 1926 the daughter of the late Jessie David and Lura Ellen Matthews Dean and was retired from Climate Control after 23 years of service, and then went to work at  Walmart, Monkey Junction as a greeter where she was known as Ms. Jo. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry J. Ottaway.

Graveside Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The Reverend Elbert Bradshaw will officate the service.

 Friends may call at Wilmington Funeral Chapel after 11:30 AM Tuesday.

    I too have nothing but wonderful memories of Ms. Jo. She was always upbeat and very kind as a Walmart greeter. Her smiling face and sweet spirit will be greatly missed. She's in Gods hands now and heaven is alittle brighter.
