Joy Smith McCormack, 83, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at Cypress Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington. She was the wife of the late Donald McCormack.
Born in Miami, FL, November 23, 1933, the daughter of the late Joe Lee and Alma Maynor Smith and had been a Wilmington resident for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Knight of Statesville; her sons, Al Knight and his wife Georgia of Wilmington, and Mike Knight of West Virginia; her grandchildren, Crystal Knight, Christopher Knight, Zachary Knight, Marissa Knight, Alexandra Joy Knight, Brandon Knight, Heather Moss and Wendy Moss; her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Scotty, Avery, and Carter.
A Memorial service will Friday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach.
