Judith A. Romanelli

Judy, age 66, of Wilmington, NC, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 6, 2015. Judy was a loving wife, daughter, big sister, mother, step mother and grandma who will be dearly missed.

Her love and devotion will never fade away, her spirit is so close to us, and will be remembered with such deep love and laughter through our cherished memories.

Judy was an avid reader, who cherished time with family, walks on the beach looking for sea shells, and dining out with her husband. With a gift of gab and being a good listener to those close to her, as well as people in her community, always chatting with them about their lives, adding advice, anecdotes and a good laugh.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Richard Romanelli of Wilmington, NC, daughter Erica Buonassisi of Sebastopol, CA, son Matthew Buonassisi of Lemoyne, PA, step daughters Tara DeLisle of Whitefield, ME, Katie Preston of Moron, Spain; her siblings, Barbara Glover, Debbie Greer, Dwight Abrahams, and Beth Eller. Judy’s seven adoring grandchildren, Haley and Ava Buonassisi, Riley, Mariam, and Richard DeLisle, and Elise and Alden Preston.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 6pm on August 15, 2015 at the Wilmington Funeral Home located at 1535 South 41st St. Wilmington, NC.

Richard, Matthew and family, my heart aches for you. Judy was way to young to leave. I hope you find solace in that she is no longer in pain and suffering. There are no words to justify this loss. May her love and memories ease your pain till one day again your are together. Hugs to you all.

Dear Richard,Erica and Matt, I wanted you to know how sorry I am to hear about Judy. She was a wonderful person I enjoyed seeing when she would bring you to Dr. McDermott's office. We had a great relationship that I have treasured thru the years. She sent me a nice note when I retired last year from the office.. Funny too! She asked me if I got my braces off yet.....30 years later. Please know that I am thinking of you all and wish you the memories that will bring a smile to your faces. She was a wonderful woman. Love, Nurse Beverly
