Judy Lavana Neal Underwood, 75, wife of the late Walter Lee Underwood, died Saturday April 13, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by family in Currie, NC.

Mrs. Underwood was born on April 12, 1944 in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late Leslie William Neal Sr. and Dorothy Lee Skinner Neal.

She was a christian woman who loved the Lord, spending her time being a homemaker and a very beloved mother sharing her amazing gifts of talent to her children, grandchildren great grandchildren and friends. She was a self-artist, a seamstress, a painter, a portrait artist, jewelry maker, and a writer. She not only shared her talent but also a heart filled with a love so genuine.

Surviving are her children Sherry Underwood Little of Currie, NC, Angela (Harold) Gore, of Johnsonville, SC, Sonny Lee Underwood, of Currie, NC and Walter Lee Underwood, of Wilmington, NC, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A graveside Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday April 18, 2019 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
