Judy Peterson Bullard

Judy Peterson Bullard was born in Wilmington, NC on April 5,1958. She began her heavenly journey just after midnight on October 23, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Most of her adult life she was a resident of Wilmington and the surrounding areas. As a teenager, she lived in Brent, AL where she became a passionate Bama fan. One of her favorite sayings was Roll Tide. Judy also loved the ocean and nature and had a big affinity for turtles. Sand and sun always brought a big smile to her beautiful face.

Judy is preceded in death by her dearest father, Hubert Vincent Peterson, Jr., and her precious grandson Markus T. Morris.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Jessica Rivera (Matthew) of Simpsonville, SC; Tiffany Bullard- Ruff (Marquis) of Campobello, SC; beloved Goddaughter she affectionately called Boo- Trinati Wyatt of Riegelwood, NC; Two brothers- Vince Peterson (Vickie) of Hamilton, AL and Greg Peterson (Angela) of Fulton, MO. Judy was the proud grandmother of 5 surviving grandchildren and had them stay with her every summer. She leaves behind her sweet babies- Tyera, Annabelle, Gabriel, Abigail, and Seven. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She also had a sweet dog Joonie B. that is still waiting for JuJu to come home.

Judy had a zest for life and was always smiling and laughing. She never met a stranger and was full of magnetism. Her friend group was large and she loved each and everyone of them, especially her life long friend Lisa Wyatt.

Jessica and Tiffany want to thank everyone that has been supportive during this difficult time. The outpouring of love and support has been amazing. The ICU staff at NHRMC was second to none.

The family will hold a private beach service, Saturday, October 27th. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation  in Judy’s name to the SECU Family House of Wilmington. They have shown great compassion and caring to Judy’s daughters during this time.
