Julia Jeanette Rice Davis, 61, of Wilmington, formerly of Lumberton died Monday, August 19, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church in the Life Center, 2501 N. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28405.
She was preceded in death by her father, Julius Rice and her son Chadwick Davis.

Survivors include two sons Michael Winston Davis, Jr. and Harley Matthew Davis; mother Janet B. Rice; two sisters, Linda Rice Miller and Myra Rice Julin; brother, Roger D. Rice; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Julia had no enemies, she was a friend to all that came in contact with her. She was the sweetest woman you ever had a chance to meet, with a smile that made the room glow.

    I have always loved you Julia and always will.. You will always be in my heart.. You were a very special angel here on earth and now you can be in Heaven as an angel with Jesus... you always had a gentle nature with lots of love to give..your eyes twinkled when you smiled and you whole face lit up.. you had the most infectious giggle... Family..be proud of this Lady, she will be missed in person but thank GOD for our memories.. I am truly broken hearted for your loss Mike and Harley and grandchildren and to all the others that loved her.

    I remember when we all used to hang out all the time. Going to the beach, or just playing hide n seek at home, we always had fun. I still after all this time remember the joyful laugh that came from the inside out. Bless u all in this time of such loss.
