Joanna (June) Gray Crisp, 72, of Columbia, NC passed away on Monday, October 27, 2008, at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven, NC.
June was born in Brunswick County to the late Hobson and Estha Bellamy Gray. She was also preceded in death by a sister Louise Gray Lee and a brother James Gray.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years Verne Crisp, one son Robert Greene, Jr. and wife Candace of Garner, a stepson Scott Crisp of Charlotte, two grandchildren Robert and Savannah Greene of Garner, and two step-grandchildren Cassidy and Hunter Crisp of Belmont, NC, A sister Jeanette Gray and niece Shelia Cooper and husband Jeff of Wilmington.
She retired from Piedmont Airlines after thirty years of service.
The family will see friends from 10:00 to 11:00 Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, N. Gum Neck Road, Columbia, NC where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Koo officiating.
There will be a second visitation from 11:00 AM to 12 noon on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Wilmington Burial and Cremation Service, Wilmington, NC. Interment will follow at Silent Grove Cemetery, Supply, NC.
