Katherine (Kat) Marie Stephanos, 61, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at home.

Katherine was born on January 1, 1959 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Norman and Ellen Engle.

Kat worked at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in the Lab.

She is survived by her loving husband Nicholas Stephanos; son, Aaron Pycior of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Brooke Odom; sister, Donna Dodson and several grandchildren all of Kansas City, KS.
Kat loved the ocean which stirred her heart, inspired her imagination and brought joy to her soul.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020, 6:30 PM, at Kure Beach Faith Center, 601 Fort Fisher South, Kure Beach, NC 28449. For the locals, it is next to the “Glass House”. The service will be held outside on the deck and on the beach.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Kure Memorial Lutheran Church P.O. Box 1, Kure Beach, North Carolina 28449.
