My thoughts are shock, disbelief and overwhelming sadness. What a terrible tragedy for Kathleen’s family to suffer another untimely loss in less than a year. I am especially holding close in my prayers, her husband, beautiful sons and grandchildren. It is a deep wound that only God can help heal. Kathleen was my cousin and in our younger years, my best friend. I will miss her very much. She was dear and lovely and kind and giving. Sadly, I thought of her often but never got to make the trip to see her as I had hoped. My memories I will hold always in my heart. God bless us all who grieve and God watch over Kathleen forever, who is in God’s arms now. Kathleen will be missed and loved always by all of us who knew her.

I am heartbroken for the dear family of my cousin, Kathy Anderson. Kathy was a gentle and kind person. I know how much she loved her children and grandchildren and I grieve her untimely loss along with you. Like our mother, she was taken from you far too soon and suddenly. I’m so sorry for the terrible shock. Kathy gave so much joy in her life and it seemed that she was always striving to learn more about herself, her family and life itself. She was intelligent and curious. Most of all, she was caring. I remember that she often used humor to lighten the mood in our cousin gatherings. I remember her laugh and how beautiful she was inside and out. How I wish that we could have been closer through these years. I know that she will be missed terribly. God bless her memory and all who loved her.

    Melinda Strom Segal says:
Dearest Kathleen, may your hands, eyes, and heart be joined now by your own dear mother, Marjorie, and our dear mother, Barbara, who were sisters, now in heaven. And by your grandmothers and grandfathers Marjorie, William, Blanche, and Egan, who were our grandparents also. May you be embraced with love and acceptance by your father and our father, who were brothers, John and Robert. My heart and deepest condolences are with your beautiful family here, may they have comfort in the blessing that you loved them so deeply, and always will be in their lives. May your memory be a blessing to your family, and to all of us who knew you and loved you. I will miss you, dear cousin. I wish I could have known you better and shared more love with you while you were here on earth. My biggest memory of you is your beautiful smile, your warmth, and your loving spirit. Our two Strom-Griffin families were so close in genealogy, yet separated for many too long years by miles and the estrangement of our elders. I pray all of this will be healed now in heaven with our Lord God, and Jesus and our angels who will be ready to surround you with love! "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall have comfort." - Matthew 5:4

Kathy was my sweet, thoughtful and loving cousin. Kathy was a strong and wonderful woman. My fondest memories of her were at Hidden Valley Farm. We had so much fun playing, The favorite room that we stayed in when we visited was the twins' (Maureen and Kathleen) bedroom, It was a beautiful room full of treasures, most importantly the twins' prom dresses. We would put the dresses on and march up and down the driveway pretending that we were royalty. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our sympathy goes out to you. She will be missed by all.
