Kathryn Taimanglo, age 44, of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born September 26, 1970 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Ronald K. Autrey and Elizabeth Battle Autrey.

Kathryn grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and moved to the little town of Wilmington fifteen years ago. She devoted her life to raising her family, creating a small business and rescuing animals in need. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and with family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Stefen Taimanglo; children, Brandon, Sarah and Kaili; father, Ronald Kenneth Autrey; mother, Elizabeth Battle Autrey; sisters, Elizabeth Blair Autrey and Carolyn Blythe Autrey Thompson; nephew, Tristan Thompson; canine companions, Big Jack and Kola; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2PM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
