I have many memories of Aunt Katie. We Know she was an independent lady and had a mind of her own. But that is what made her a lovable Aunt Katie. I will never forget all the times we took her to the Amish farms for flowers. She loved seeing all the little Amish boys and girls. Also I will always remember our trips taking her to the farmers market and then stopping on the way home for chicken pot pie. She made every trip an adventure!!! Nancy, I know those 9 days in the hospice center were hard on you, but we know we stayed with her every minute, day and night, of those 9 days until God reached down and took her home. As we hold her, she is now with Uncle Carl, Pop and Gram, her sister and her brother and with Inky.

    Becky says:
dear nanc: i will miss all the wonderful stories you have told over the years about aunt katie. my favorite is when she saw hannah for the first time and said, "did'nt that dog use to be black?" you and joe brought her into your home, your life and your hearts. and in the end gave her the most important thing of all... a family to call her own. her and bunker are probably fishing or hunting together right now. and at the end of the day, bunker is right beside her on the couch. and like i always said "i want to be just like her, when i grow up." thinking of you, becky
