Kay Darlene Anderson, age 55, of Currie, NC passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 11, 1960 in Savannah, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Paul Anderson Sr. and her brother Jim Paul Anderson Jr.

Kay work for 15 years for Eckerds Pharmacy in the cosmetics department and later at Wal-Mart briefly.

She enjoyed playing games on her computer and was an avid artist.

She was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Castle Haynes.

She is survived by her mother, Peggy (Fender) Meeks of Currie, NC; one stepson, Brandon Helms of Concord, NC; one stepdaughter, Stephine Anderson of Kannapolis, NC; brother, James Anderson and girl friend Dawn of Winnabow, NC; three sisters, Patricia and Kenneth Helms of Concord, NC, Fay and Mark Sneed of Camden, SC and Hattie and Anderson for Website2George Reedy of Wilmington, NC; and by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Advent Christian Church in Castle Hayne, NC.
