Kaye Bernice Weaver, 67, of Wilmington died on April 24, 2023. She was born on October 7, 1955 in Wilmington to Mark K. and Wanda (Potts) Weaver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother Mark F Weaver.

Kaye graduated from Hoggard High School in 1974. She then attended Georgia Southern College where she was on the Dean’s List every semester from 1985 – 1987 and received Academic Excellence Cum Laude Batchelor’s of Fine Arts. Throughout the years she perfected her skills in bronze sculpting.

Kaye leaves behind her sister Merry B. Weaver and numerous friends that she considered her family. She was a generous soul always willing to help those she cared about. Kaye may physically be gone but she will never be forgotten, she lives within all her friends, they were her world, especially her dog Nanoo.

There will be no services.

    Kaye and I grew up in church at Carolina Beach together. We were roommates and worked together for a couple years. Kaye was a loving and giving soul who didn’t have a mean bone in her body. I wish I had known she was sick I would have been there for her. Fly high my dear friend. Much love and Grace.
