Gifts & Memorial Donations

Keith Michael Hamilton, age 66 of Leland, NC, sadly passed away at Novant Health/New Hanover Regional Medical Center on July 9, 2022.

Keith was born on February 4, 1956 in Weymouth, MA to Robert and Mary Alice Hamilton.

Keith was an amazing husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He was always ready and willing to help anyone in need, always there to lend a helping hand. He deeply cared for those around him and will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know him.

Keith’s life began in Weymouth, Massachusetts where he grew up and was surrounded by loving family and friends. He was happiest outdoors and loved working on projects where he could use his creative, analytical, and craftsmanship skills. In his earlier years, he built many things with his dad, one of which was a beautifully crafted rowboat that he would take out onto Lake Ossipee, NH. Throughout his life, Keith was always there to support and help his mom, sister and brothers in any way he could. Keith’s studies prepared him for a career in Information Technology, where he excelled in providing computer programming and analysis services to companies in the healthcare and retail industries. This career led him to his wife Jean, where they worked together, were members of the running club, and enjoyed many fun gatherings with their work family. Ultimately, they married and welcomed their beautiful daughter, Rachel, into their family where they lived in Wakefield, Massachusetts surrounded by loving family and friends. Keith was so proud of Rachel’s accomplishments and loved spending time researching with her on her architecture projects. Keith dreamed of spending his retirement years in a warmer climate where he was able to be outdoors, work on projects, and take up golf. He deeply loved and was devoted to his family. He was very happy in his new home in North Carolina, and felt blessed to have met so many wonderful friends and neighbors.

Keith is survived by his loving wife Jean Hamilton, his adored daughter Rachel Hamilton and boyfriend Dylan Bonsignore, his mother Mary Alice Hamilton, his sister Robyn Hamilton and life partner Bill Hromada, his brother Blair Hamilton and wife Beth, his brother Grant Hamilton and wife Julie, and many other extended family members and friends who love and miss him dearly. Keith is predeceased by his father Robert Hamilton.

There is a Memorial Mass planned on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield, MA. A time of visitation with Keith’s family and friends will be held immediately after.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Brunswick Forest in Leland, NC in early August. Details to be announced.
