Kelly Jo Robinson, age 62, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, after her courageous battle with cancer. Kelly was born on May 5, 1961, to Gene and Sue Robinson in Wilmington, NC.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue C. Robinson and brother, Kevin L. Robinson. Kelly is survived by her father Gene Robinson, sister Karen R. Cannon (Jerry) and brother Keith G. Robinson. She leaves behind a host of family, friends and her beloved dog, Chandler.

Kelly was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. She graduated from John T. Hoggard High School in 1979. Kelly relocated to Virginia due to employment. She was a long-time employee of Towne Bank in Virginia Beach at the time of her death.

Kelly was a friend and bright light to all who knew her. She was positive, creative, dedicated, uplifting, thoughtful and so much more. She loved celebrating holidays, traveling, crafting, thrifting, singing and just being with her family and friends. Kelly loved being a member of Virginia Beach Christian Church and being involved in many of the activities and events which included the Fall Family Fun Day, working in the GIFT garden and singing in the choir. A very special thanks to Anne Myers for being Kelly’s caregiver, confidant, and dear friend.

A Visitation will be held on December 16, 2023 from 11am-12pm, followed by a Celebration of Life from 12-1pm at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation (1535 South 41 st Street), In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cape Fear Group Home 1915 Robert E. Lee Drive Wilmington, NC 28412 in Kelly’s memory, where her beloved brother Kevin lived the past 9 years, until his death on October 22, 2023.
