It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our former son-in-law. Kenny was a generous and fun-loving person and we have many fond memories of happy times. Kenny left this world too soon but now he is at peace. Our hearts go out to our granddaughters, Erica and Amanda. We know that they loved their Dad and will miss him.

    J. Skipper Funderburg says:
May the Funderburg - Fergus family of Wilmington, NC express our deepest sympathy for the loss of Kenneth Allen Curry. His passing is a sad event for all those who have loved and respected him over the years. He protected those in whose love he lived and those that are dear to us. We had the good fortune to know him and love him. Kenny had a kinship with water early on, he loved to fishing, boating and surfing with his family. He was he was one of the first surfers in North Carolina and instrumental in shaping our local surfing community into what it is today. He was a member of the Wrightsville Originals and the recipient of the Winged O in 2013. The fire that stoked him as a surfer fueled & tended his passion as a Christian. We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Joseph Skipper Funderburg and Family

    Eckie says:
Rest in Peace, Kenneth Allen Curry. My hope for you is for eternal joy and happiness. We only spent a brief period of our lives together, and many things you did hurt me beyond measure. Still you gave me the best thing ever and I will always be thankful for our son who grew up to serve his country in the Marine Corps, become a devoted husband and father to three wonderful Curry boys, and helps many people in his profession as a therapist. Enter into your eternal rest knowing this. May God bless and keep you now and always.

    Janice Curry says:
Today, December 14 2013, Kenny would have been 59 years old but unfortunately his life was cut too short. Kenny is the father of my two beautiful daughters, Erica and Amanda Curry, now 29 & 25. And the grandfather of Lorenzo, turning 7 this month. We were married for 14 years and the girls and I have many fond memories that we will cherish forever. Kenny will be missed by many people... Kenneth Allen Curry- You hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget all the good times we've shared. May you now have peace with God. Janice
