Kenneth “Ken” Robert Becker, age 70, of Leland passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born December 9, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of the late Robert Becker and Karla Roseland Becker. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Bucholtz.

Ken was an avid golfer and enjoyed his retirement to the fullest out on the golf courses of North Carolina. He retired after a thirty year career as a supervisor from the Wisconsin Electric Company (known as W.E. Energies) and made a home along the coast where he was able to enjoy the weather and beaches. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory, are his devoted wife of 39 years,
Sandra Wenzel Becker; daughter, Theresa Wilson and husband Alan of Winchester, England;two sons, Richard Becker of Emporia, Kansas, and James Becker and his wife Jennifer of Milwaukee, WI; six grandchildren, Sara Bucholtz, Hilary, Taylor, Madylin, Brady and Mallory Becker; two brothers, John Becker (Karen) and Robert Becker (Mary); sister, Ann Kulig (Robert) and numerous other family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
A service will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a later date.

    Now that Ken is on the ultimate cruise, we remember the great times we shared on the EMBA cruises and I experienced with Ken at the EMBA golf outings. Please accept our sympathy. He will be missed by all of us.
