Kenneth L. Bennett age 80 of Wilmington passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021.

Kenneth was born in Richmond County, NC on January 26, 1940 to Kenneth Maynard Bennett and Myrtle Mae Piner Bennett.

Kenneth was a proud military veteran serving in the US Army, US Marines discharged with the rank of Sgt Major with 15 years of service, and retired as a Merchant Marine.

He is survived by his son and daughter in-law, Kenneth L. Bennett, Jr. and Susan from Punta Gorda, FL; and daughter and son in-law, Amy and Dallas Soeder; brothers Robbie Bennett and wife Barbara, and Roy Edward Bennett; and sister Betty Jean Beck. Two grandchildren, Christina Johnson and Kenneth Stephen Bennett.

No services are planned at this time. His urn will be placed at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
