Kevin Lee Robinson was reunited with his mother in heaven on October 22, 2023 He was born April 16, 1965.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother Sue Robinson.
He is survived by his father Gene F Robinson siblings; Karen R Cannon ( Jerry ), Kelly J Robinson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Keith G Robinson. He leaves behind a host of family and friends – and his extended family at Cape fear group homes where Kevin lived for the last 9 years. Kevin was a Cub scout. He attended Laney high School. Kevin was part of the first special needs class through Cape fear community college, started by his mother- growing independently for tomorrow or GIFT. He later in attended CFCC downtown for several years. He’s been a part of Cape fear group homes day program for the last 9 years. Kevin attended college acres Baptist Church Sunday school with Chuck Noe as his teacher for many years. More recently, Kevin has been attending Grace Baptist Church. Kevin participated in Access fit and special Olympics. Kevin was childlike, funny, joyful, and sociable Kevin was always ready to give a hug or a kiss or flip your hair. He like reading people’s name tags. Kevin especially loved trains, Snoopy, Archie comics, puzzles, coloring, and putting things together. Kevin loved wearing funny hats or glasses. To him anyone in costume was a celebrity. He liked superheroes especially Spider-Man and Captain America. Kevin was always the life of the party. In Kevin’s family, all the siblings felt like he was their baby. Kevin was well loved and cared for. He will be greatly missed.
Kevin’s service will be held on Saturday, November 4,2023at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be in the fellowship hall from 10A to 11A. Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.in the sanctuary. Casual attire welcome.
