Memorial Gifts & Donations

Kimberly Stubbs Jones, 45, of Rocky Point, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Kimberly was born in Whiteville, NC on August 10, 1975, the daughter of the late George Frank Stubbs and Susan Herring Stubbs.

Kimberly attended high school in Wilmington, NC and graduated from Cape Fear Community College as a Dental Hygienist after she worked as a Dental Assistant in Wilmington for many years. Kimberly enjoyed gardening in her spare time, cultivating beautiful flowers and vegetables. She also loved her Color by Number apps and, let’s not forget, Candy Crush (she was very proud of the high levels she reached). Kimberly loved everyone, regardless of color, creed, or preference. Her daughter’s, Romie’s, friends were always welcomed and accepted in her home and Kimberly treated them as her own.

Surviving Kimberly is her husband Daniel Jones, Jr., son John Stubbs and daughter Romie Jones of Wilmington, NC, her brothers Frankie Stubbs and James Stubbs (Billie Jo); a special cousin, who was like a sister, Bobbie Smith Honeycutt, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Kimberly is preceded in death by her sister Brandi Stubbs. Kimberly will be dearly missed by all that were blessed to know her and her shining personality.

A private service will be announced at a later date.

There is a Treasured Memories Fundraiser set up to assist Kimberly’s family with the expenses to lay her to rest. To view and donate to their fundraiser, please visit:
