Kirsten Elizabeth Caldwell Del Savio, age 50, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on January 1, 2024.
She was born July 18, 1973 in Troy, Ohio to Betty (née Virgint) and Larry Caldwell. She was a 1991 graduate of Troy High School and a 1996 graduate of Wright State University. In 1998, she moved from Ohio to North Carolina with her family. On November 28, 2003 she married her husband Michael J. Del Savio.
Kirsten was a steadfast Christian both guided and sustained by her faith. No one who met Kirsten could forget her heart-warming smile and one-of-a-kind personality. She was a beacon of light who lit up a room with her presence. She had a spirit of adventure that took her on countless journeys, as traveling was her favorite activity. She also had a deep passion for nursing and worked as a nurse and nursing instructor for over 25 years. Kirsten proudly led her girl scout troop for a decade. Kirsten truly lived life to the fullest, enjoying time spent with her family and friends, shopping, doing puzzles, reading, baking, and all things Disney-related. She was gifted with the ability to reach people in a deeply positive way through her caring nature.
She is survived by her husband Michael, her two kids Amelia and Collin, her sister Megan, her father Larry, her aunt Anna Marie, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
