Memorial Gifts & Donations

Kristofer Hildebrand Feurer of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away on November 17, 2023.

Kristoff is survived by her best friend and husband Martin William Feurer, with whom she shared 34 years of loving, joyous marriage. They met and married while living in Wilmington, Delaware, and soon moved to Morehead City, North Carolina, where they started a family together before moving to Wilmington, North Carolina. Kristoff is survived by her three children, whom she loved dearly: Elizabeth Cope Feurer and her husband, Eric Funk; Greyson Martin Feurer and his wife, Jordan Lockhart; and Joshua Forrest Andrew Feurer. She is also survived by her grandchild, Roland James Funk.

Kristoff was born on December 30, 1965, in Hamm, Germany. The daughter of Thomas Chester Hildebrand and Gloria Cope Hildebrand of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Kristoff was the youngest of five children. She was preceded in death by her sister, Holly Jo Poulnot, and is survived by her sisters, Terri Cope Curran and Gloria Elizabeth Cabiness, her brother, Tom Hildebrand, Jr., and many nieces and nephews.

Kristoff was known for her love for Jesus and service to the community. Nobody was a stranger for long to Kristoff. She was quick to deliver food to a friend in need, offer rides for those unable to drive themselves, and give her signature balloons to anyone needing love. She was an active member of her childhood church, Pine Valley Baptist Church. Kristoff had a special place in her heart for the church’s senior adults. As a professional realtor, Kristoff’s compassionate and empathetic approach turned clients into friends along the way.

Kristoff never passed up an opportunity to let her joyful and adventurous spirit shine. She brought vivid color to everything she touched, from people’s lives to her outfits and heels. Her 1972 Volkswagen Beetle was the preferred ride throughout the summer months. And, of course, she was rarely without the company of her beloved Malteses, Zoe and Harley.  Kristoff’s selfless love, contagious positivity, and heart for Jesus will be missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Kristofer’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Pine Valley Baptist Church, 3940 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28403. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and there will be a reception following the service. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages anyone interested to donate to the Pine Valley Baptist Church’s Senior Ministry, a cause close to Kristoff’s heart.

Please leave condolence messages for the family on her “Tribute Wall” below.

I knew Kris in high school and, again, through Facebook. Kris was always such a kind, sweet person, even as a teenager she stood out for her sweet personality. Later through social media I looked forward to her uplifting, fun posts, her Sunny personality, her kindness, her love for our seniors and those shoes. I will miss her positivity and faithfulness. She was a light in the world. Prayers for peace and please know she will be so missed.
