Lancey Rodney Rivenbark Sr passed away Saturday February 1, 2014 at New Hanover Hospital. “LR”, as he was known to so many, was born March 27, 1942 in Goldsboro, NC. LR loved to fish, garden, and to take his family camping.

LR was a route salesman for Coca-Cola for about thirty years, before that he had run a Phillips 66 station.

LR was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Peggy E. Kennedy Rivenbark. He is survived by his mother Dell Rivenbark, of Hampstead; stepson Johnny Richards and wife Debbie, step granddaughter Jennifer Patterson, step great grandson Dillon Patterson all of Sandy Creek; stepson Phillip Richards and wife Debbie of GA, step grandson Phillip Richards, Jr. of Leland, step granddaughter Angelea Richards of Florida; stepson Mike Richards and wife Barbara of Castle Hayne, step grandson Mike Richards of Leland; his daughter Connie Rivenbark of Wilmington, grandson Damian Rivenbark of Wilmington; his son Lancey Rivenbark and wife Nancy of Castle Hayne; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends he treated like family. We all love and miss him.

Funeral Service will be 11 AM Wednesday February 5, 2014 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is 1 hour prior.
