Larry Dale West 61, of Leland passed away Wednesday September 7, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Larry was born in Tabor City on October 14, 1949 the son of the late Gardner Lee and Mary Bellamy West. He was preceded in death by his son Larry Dale West, Jr.

Surviving are sister Sue W. Albertson of Delco and brothers Kenny West and wife Michelle and Horace West and wife Carolyn of Leland. He also leaves behind his beloved canine Buffy.

Celebration of Life service will begin 5:00 PM Tuesday September 13, 2011 at Leland Community Center 1490 Village Road, Leland, NC.

My life was greatly enriched by you being a part of it,and I am sure others were as well.Every time I hear Shania Twain sing,I think of our concert trip to Raleigh with Alice and everyone else,and I always will...My deepest condolences to the family.Now, you be a BIG help to the other angels Larry,cause we all need another good one on our shoulders!
