Larry Edward Snead, 77 years old, is now at peace. He departed this earth on November 26 , 2022 after suffering from heart issues.
Born March 30, 1945, to Erwin Woodrow Snead and Rachel Kiser in Mecklenburg County. Larry retired from Sam’s Wholesale Club after a long career in the Meat Department. Larry loved our many four legged companions, especially Harley and Bailey, his most recent companions. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. In our later years we enjoyed our RV camping trips visiting State and Federal Parks.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Frances Kimbrell (Tommy) and brother David George Snead. Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Cindy Davis Snead; along with her two brothers Donald (Linda) and Robbie Davis, and nephew Tyler Davis. His son’s Lee Snead (Allison), granddaughters Maggie and Cheyanne Snead of Abilene, Texas, and David Snead (Laith), grandchildren Dane and Joy Snead of Gastonia, sister Joanne Shields King of Mississippi, sister in law Nancy Snead of Clover, SC.
A Celebration of Life will be held December 10, 2022, 1 pm at the Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church, 1209 N. Lake Park Blvd., Carolina Beach, NC. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Carolina Beach Capital Fund or the LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.
